Year 29 No 7 – March 2005
Compere Bobby Colgan welcomed a much larger crowd than normal to the January A&F Club in the Railway Inn, Haddington, which was to feature Bill Black and his SDB.
The afternoon was started by John Sessford on the box, followed by Derek Edmund. Bill Crookston was next in the line-up. Caroline Hardie was very well received playing the fiddle.
It was then the turn of Bill black and his Band, the place was jumping, with foot-tapping and hand clapping.
After a short interval for pies and the raffle, bobby introduced Neil Hardie, followed by James Paterson, Jimmy Wilson and Ronnie Johnston. All these performers were accompanied by either Tommy Rankin or Alex Harvie on drums and Duncan Black on keyboard.
Bill Black brought the afternoon to a close much to the disappointment of the audience.
Bobby relayed the information that the next Accordion Afternoon will be on Sunday, 13 February, with guest artiste the Jimmy Cassidy Trio.
