Year 1 No 2 - November 1977
The second meeting of the new season of the Renfrew A&F Club was held in the Glynhill Hotel, Renfrew, on Tuesday, 18th October. The meeting was very well attended by members, friends and visitors from other clubs in the area.
A number of members and visitors performed during the evening ranging from young Josephine Haddock (7) on accordion to Frank O’Donnell of fiddle who is 81 years young. The guest artiste for the evening was George Stirrat, who is well-known for his own particular style of Scottish dance music.
George played a very varied programme including some of his own compositions and was well received for his excellent performance.
The next meeting of the Club will be Tuesday, 15th November, when our guest artiste will be Walter Perrie who is a regular performer on STV’s Thingummyjig programme.
